  Known as the Sustainable Energy Project, the initiative combines using energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies to provide all of the park's energy needs, while generating environmental and economic benefits for the park as well.

• NSU's Medical School Expands Medical Outreach Trips to Developing Nations
  Countries such as Bangladesh, Peru, and Argentina have been added to the list of nations that already receive medical outreach from NSU's College of Osteopathic Medicine (COM). Those nations include Jamaica, Ecuador, and the Dominican Republic.
• One of the World's Leading Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Researchers Joins Nova Southeastern University
  Nancy Klimas, M.D., one of the world's leading researchers and clinicians in chronic fatigue syndrome/myalgic encepahalomyelitis (CFS/ME), a debilitating immune disorder that affects more than one million Americans, recently joined Nova Southeastern University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine faculty in December.
• Robert J. Pietrykowski, M.A., J.D., Appointed Vice President Human Resources at Nova Southeastern University
  In his new role as chief human resources officer for NSU, Pietrykowski will provide strategic leadership in the planning and implementation of quality-based, integrated human resources programs that positively contribute to employee productivity and a healthy work-life balance.
• NSU Nursing Program to become its own College
  The College of Allied Health and Nursing will become the College of Nursing and College of Health Care Sciences on Jan. 1, 2012.
